The FP has so many people who know how to run big businesses!
Why do big businesses struggle so much when they can get free advice from people on the FP? If they did, they could save more money!
See? I know about business too! I got an NBA! I am a fully certified GTA as well! Hire me and the people on the FP, big businesses! We work for free!

If Jalopnik commenters ran a car company, it’d go the way of Olds, Scion, Saturn, and many others reeeaalll quick.
Wagons, manuals, crank windows, and RWD for everyone!
...right.

If the typical Jalopnik commenter could build a car, they’d basically build a stripped down E30 wagon with an LS motor.

Just like how there’s always somebody clamoring for a stripped down version of XX or YY car or truck- that they would sell very few of to enthusiasts. Oh, and it would cost them more money to have a different build process.
GM is not going to build a Z/28 with cloth seats, no radio, no HVAC, no carpet or sound deadener, with no extraneous electronics (like keyless entry) for $45k.

I’ll play devil’s advocate for a bit, wouldn’t the comment section be terrible if no one posted their opinion, no matter how unfounded it may be? That would be boring. If everyone just posted I don’t know, good question , it would be worse than crossing a gun post with Jezebel and the maelstrom that would ensue. Honestly, aren’t the comments the most entertaining part of articles?

Also so many people who have apparently never been to a manufacturing plant and think you should be assembling cars in a suit and tie no matter how hot it gets in Arlington...

I went to a plant on the AL/GA border one time that had on-site hot processes for coil springs/etc. and minimal A/C. Suit and tie not recommended.

Man, if GM would just put a manual in the Chevy SS it’d be perfect! Come on GM, give it a manual!
*GM gives it a manual, and even throws in standard magnetorheological dampers*
Meh, it’s too expensive. I’ll just buy it used in 10 years.

Let me engineer an engine with the most complicated design and force it to be a no cost option with turbos and superchargers because it works. Your knowledge on thermodynamics and materials doesn’t mean shit. - FP armchair engineers.

I didn’t take that as a suit and tie kinda thing (well, some of them were), but more of a “that’s not what you wear in a manufacturing plant” kind of deal. Just as inappropriate attire as a suit and tie in most manufacturing facilities, usually there’s much more “safety” required.

Yea the few with actual safety concerns as opposed to “hurr durr union slobs” probably don’t realize that you don’t need full body shop levels of PPE at end of line stations.
